Trestolone acetate (MENT), also known as methylnortestosterone acetate, is a synthetic anabolic–androgenic steroid and a derivative of nandrolone. It is an androgen ester – specifically, the C17 acetate ester of trestolone.

MENT is mildly bioavailable in oral form, and is more widely used as an injectable steroid. The medication was first described in 1963, but it was never marketed. In October of 2000, Schering AG announced that they were moving forward with developing MENT as a potential male contraceptive and hormone replacement therapy.  However, this effort has seemed to have been abandoned in 2013.

In bodybuilding MENT is used as a very powerful mass builder. Reports of gaining ten kilos or more in one ten week cycle are quite common. Users report the mass and strength gain to be similar to that of the popular oral steroid Anadrol. MENT has a high propensity to aromatize in the body creating high levels of synthetic estrogen in the body.
